The University of California deeply appreciate the present and hope to make advancements in agricultural education and the art and science of horse breeding. A ceremony was also held to celebrate the joyous event, with famous actor Will Rogers as Master of Ceremonies. Other notable speakers include the then-governor Governor James Rolph, notable lawyer Henry O’Melveny, the successful real estate developer and architect S.H. Woodruff, and many more.
